Extraordinaire album qui devient mon N° 1 pour 2006.
Areknames, groupe italien, n'oeuvre pas dans le progressif habituel italien mais plutôt dans un progressif sombre à la VDGG. Encore que cet album soit conçu comme un double album avec une face sombre (1-6) et une face plus lumineuse (7-12). On retrouve dans la première partie les influences du premier album (VDGG, King Crimsom) mais l'album est d'une grande richesse et on appréciera tout au long des 78 mn des aspects très divers : metal (the skeletal landscape...), un aspect jazz qui revient régulièrement (La chambre, Stray thoughts from a crossroad), un hard rock celtisant très original (Someone lies here) ou encore un excellent jazz-rock uriah heepien (Pendulum arc).
Un nouvel album est prévu pour 2010 !!!
